OMG! Look at these hybrids and rare fishes!
Digiman replied to Digiman's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
In the wild, Japan water, v deep. Tosanoides is unobtainable. Those tat hav appeared in Japan are all juvi and can count with one hand. It's so deep and only juvi can handle the decompression well. Price is almost 5k for a juvi!! We hav our cheaper and readily available "tosanoide", the sunburst anthias. Tosanoides will always remain a dream. -
Left side nicer than right side. But front FTS shot is still the nicest! Awesome softies, makes the tank more natural looking!

It's nothing about the price. White pistol randalli is not exactly something rare, it has appeared on and off and some thot it's a new alpheus species but at the end it's jux a "paler" randalli tat's all. Like the black stripes of flame angels is highly variable, the white of the randalli is also v variable. But i now using that as a comparison i kind of understand why RB wans to post the white randalli, cos if a flame angel has slightly irregular or weird stripes pattern, we'll be equally fascinated. "Yellow" Blue Spotted Jawfish: -
Hope the black fin hooded quickly swim out in the open and it'll be the star of the tank!

Minus away the blue head and green back it has the look of the rusty flame. So i would say it may be a rusty flame x coral beauty. Hence a bit of flame angel blood. Yes, the terelabrus sp. from maldive. -

Any hardy African fish for beginners?
Digiman replied to sanhas's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
Why must be from Africa? If u are looking for beginner fishes den try bali or philippines shipments, they are cheaper. African fishes are more expensive. There are west africa shipment and east africa shipment, and many varieties of fishes. u need to be more specific in the type of fishes u wan like angels, or wrasses, or butterfly etc. Cos most of them from Africa are not difficult. -

Female is nice also. But sadly it's a cold water species, not suitable for our tropical climate! -

Digiman replied to Digiman's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
Lunatus x pintail is v rare as the hybrid can only be found in japan, where pintail and lunatus are found in the same water. Plus it is the only hybridiziation of fairy wrasses known, that makes the fish even rarer. Envy husfereef!! -

I did not pm huskereef on the price, but definitely cheaper than earlei shipped to US. The lunatus and pintail are not featured for sale on BH online. Koji specifically sourced for the fish in japan and sent it to huskereef in US upon his order. -

Huskereef lunatus fairy and lunatus x pintail. The two small females are lunatus. The bigger one is the lunatus x pintail. And he's gg to get a true japanese lanceolatus wrasse from BH as well! Envy, too much envy! The only fish tat BH cannot get for him is the sanguineus fairy wrasse. All fairy wrasse freaks out there, if u wan the rarest of the rarest fairy wrasses like earlei, lunatus, pintail, lanceolatus, johnsoni(CF has a pair) etc, u can contact BH through lemon! However, only pm lemon if u're willing to pay more(a lot more) for these fairies. Becos take for example, one single earlei fairy will cost around USD900 shipped! Lunatus and pintail will be slightly lower, while a lanceolatus a bit higher.
