  1. They are popular becos they are one of the few more spectacular of fairy wrasses. Obtainable and beautiful, easy(except for rhomboid) and not overly expensive. They will continue to be average reefers' favourites.
  2. When there is only a single collector for the fish, the price will drop, but will not drop by a lot. Much like clarion angel, price has dropped but now still maintained at a high 2.5k to 3k minimum. Some more Brian Greene is v unpredictable, he is a researcher and not a fish dealer, so dunno when's the next time he may suddenly announce retirement again. But now tat he has returned, hope he collect more and more johnsoni and bell's flasher and flood the whole world with these fishes. After tat he can go back to palau and collect earlei and Belonoperca pylei again for the japanese market.
  3. 5 years ago the rare fairy wrasses we are talking about are rhomboid, lineatus and hooded. Now today all the three mentioned above are so common and the rare ones we are talking about are johnsoni, lunatus and earlei!
  4. Personally i feed two times a day. Once in the morning and another at night. If i'm out early in the morning, den it'll be once a day in the evening. Fishes can survive well on jux one feeding a day. However if u ask me wat's the optimum number of feedings, i would say three small feedings a day. But most of us dun hav the luxury of time to feed so many times, so one to two times a day will also suffice. Watever i mentioned above does not apply to fishes tat require high amount of feedings like purple queen anthias, princess anthias and some other difficult to feed angelfishes.
  5. NO!! It does not lose shine to green one at all!! Haha u like green one i can exchange mine w your orange! Orange Octo has already appeared in the states some time back. ReefBuilder has reported it quite some time ago. But in singapore i believe lemon's the first piece.
  6. Wa tat's fast. If the light is strong enough the squamosa can be placed on the sandbed. But your sanded is almost fully covered with prata...
  7. Your orange octo makes me want to break into your house and steal it! If this piece appear in GO i cannot imagine the price tag!
  8. Jon, inspired by your squamosa and Lemon's maxima, i may considering keeping a clam in my tank. But i'm running only one tube T5 so it's a bit hard to sustain the lighting needs.
  9. The epoxy is good? It's damn cheap also compared to those specially made for aquarium usage. It is recommended by Chingchai, cheap and good!
  10. This one nice shot. Marginalis asking for owner's attention!
  11. Interesting and rare fishes from Old Town Aquarium: Pseudanthias Privitera Liopropoma Africanum Serranus Phoebe Rusty Flame Hybrid Burgess Hybrid Aberrant Blue Tang - Blue Aberrant Blue Tang - Black Stripeless Melanopus Clown Unknown Hybrid Clown Xanthic Undulated Trigger Famous Tigerpyge
  12. I like tinker the most. Mitratus not bad, but i wont think of it alone. I'll think of LCK tinker first, den flashes of mitratus at CF will appear.
  13. Even if there's a small population, can forget about it entering the trade, cos it's in Japan! Anything in Japan is v hard to get shipped out. Might as well get a mitratus, nicer. The mitratus at CF has grown on me, has been thinking abt it for a couple of days whenever i think of the tinker. If my big tank is still around, i may have gotten both of them! Roaps are hard to resist for any butterfly lover!
  14. This is prob an individual variant and not a geographical variant. Tat means finding another fish like this is gg to be v v hard. Anyway it looks a bit like mitratus.
  15. I've not seen the yellow eye band burgess pics before. Maybe u can post here of one. But there are a lot of burgess hybrids pics already on the net. Some crown more yellow some more black. But their eye band are all yellow, which is the evidence of hybridization w tinker / flavo butterfly
  16. Nobody knows, cos flavo and tinker and burgess has interbreed at the marshall islands. So the blood has been all mixed up. So let's jux call it burgess hybrid. Or if u wan more classy name, call it flavo hybrid.
  17. The US pple are so lucky to get these fishes AGAIN! Rusty flame and flavo x burgess hybrid.
  18. He'll be a puffer fish! P.S.*His "du zhui"
  19. It's definitely bright enough for the LPS, but for clam, a bit on the low side. If u can add another two T5 tubes will be better for the clam long term.
  20. Very nice clam! It looks awesome in that spot. U are doing daily water change so it should replenish the CA and KH fast enough. All the tridacna clams need a lot of light, so try not to shift it too low if u ever want to change position next time.
  21. Midas blenny and allardi clown are cheaper than the flameback if i'm not wrong. There are a lot of allardi clowns, midas blenny got a few. Dun think they are all sold, ask auntie the next time u are there. Ask her if still hav midas blenny and african clowns.
  22. CF Many big squamosas Many Croceas assorted sizes No more maximas for sale x5 joculators many liopropoma swalesi
  23. I should say sunburst is a tosanoide substitute. The juvi tosanoide look a bit like a v pale sunburst. Is n't the body shape v similar to sunburst? But of course a sunburst is still a sunburst and cannot compare to the tosanoides.
