  1. Exactly wat i'm thinking too. H.thompsoni is already not available in the trade and now u tell me there's a hybrid of it!
  2. Super rare unknown hybrid genicanthus. But it should not be too tough to guess what the parent species are.
  3. Ok i know this fish is ygly, but it is a v v rare hybrid Hemitaurichthys thompsoni × Hemitaurichthys polylepis
  4. I was there when the fish was swimming "upside" down and eventually laid in one corner body curled up. After tat the fish was quickly scooped out and brought to the back and after which i dunno wat happened. Whether it died or not i wont say much more, but one thing i'm for sure was the fish was stuck there for quite long and was not sold until the day i witnessed the above. ReefBuilders is a US based website so watever info they posted on the fish was based on wat they received thru email and not wat they saw in person at RB! Anyway off-topic and it was so long ago and the fish is no longer there. So let it all ends here. Anyone know wat is the stocklist for RB shipment tmr?
  5. 5 blue notes? U mux be kidding. Their last super hybrid, the one that went on reefbuilders is selling at 16 blue notes! No one bought it and in the end the fish died in their shop. The hybrid price can be variable. V rare and nice one the price will be easily above 500 at RB.
  6. Cant get enough of Lennardi Wrasse! Here is a small female, 2+" only for sale at LADD. Here is a transitioning male in HD video. And here is a nice male:
  7. If u do it v carefully and slowly it should stress your angels less.
  8. It could be a pure koran. But the ring is too round and hint a bit of emperor. So the only way is wait for the fish to develop a bit further and v soon will be able to tell if it is a real hybrid. The other piece he has possess more obvious hybrid traits.
  9. Yes maybe. Cos the website was in japanese and the pic was placed under the section of philippines shipment. Since it does not look so rusty hybrid to me i assume it is a pure philippines flame. But philippines flames i feel the gene pool has been tainted now, so slowly the flames and the rusty flames will resemble each other more and more and become hard to tell a pure flame from a rusty flame. Then eventually pure flame will be taken over and the whole population will be left with just rusty flame and become like Guam of which the same how Copps postulated the evolution and origination of Shepardi angels.
  10. Your FTS looks empty now after the death of the fishes. Next week should hav a few shipments coming in!
  11. Yours still alive? I tot die liao. Ok so then u hav a v rare flame angel, dun kill it!
  12. Terryz one died also. LCF425(Jon) has two i think but he sold them. So i believe there may be still two philippines flame that are alive out there!
  13. The pics were taken from a Japan LFS. We shall see how singapore LFS will distribute the butterflyfish when our red sea shipments arrive.
  14. Hybrid lemonpeel Deep orange Fisheri V rare Philippines Flame angelfish. Philippines flame are more yellowish orange in colour compared to the redder christmas flame. My personal favourite, hybrid rusty flame!
  15. Coradion Altivelis Pair, rare from australia shipment Prognathode Aculeatus (rare from carribbean shipment) and Prognathode Marcellae (West Africa shipment, suppose to come in from previous Iwarna shipment but in the end dun hav!) Chaetodon Frembli (uncommon butterfly from Hawaii shipment, small size more desirable) Chaetodon Reticulatus Juvenile (Rare at this size and even rarer to keep alive this obligate coral eater)
  16. Emperor angelfish is one of the most common angel we can get here. But large specimen with perfect straight lines and streamer is v rare. Below is a magnificent specimen, and a huge one of course:
  17. V rare Armitagei Angelfish from Maldive. This angel is a rare hybrid of xanthurus angel and trimaculatus angel and is imported only from Maldive. If i remember right, AM brought in an armitagei angel years ago!
  18. Red sea shipment in Japan: Look at the number of butterflies.. Golden, heniochus, larvatus, mesoleucos.. and one butterfly is still missing! That is the pauscifasciatus. Has it become so rare tat even Japan is not getting them anymore!
  19. But continuous feeding means high nutrients and more water change. It is quite a hassle to do frequent water change especially for large tank. If i go NPS it'll definitely be a nano tank, at least food costs lower and water change easier.
  20. The gobies will be damn difficult to catch! U probably hav to tear the whole tank down to catch the full moon.
  21. I love crinoids, but they are so hard to keep alive.
