better to call them for opening hrs and day also before you head down
Zoas are generally easy to keep. I keep mine mostly in mid flow and mid light intensity.
Sign of insufficient light is the extended elongation of the polyps, stretching towards the light.
I don't think it's a must to feed zoas, they are primarily photosynthetic. Feeding might probably be an addtional enhancement if any.
Have fun with the rescape .
nice tank!
You mean coraline algae?
For them to grow in your tank you need to introduce them physically. Either through introducing scraps of coraline alage or adding rocks which already has coraline alage growing on them.
Silica is present in our tap water as silicon dioxide
So if you are using tap water to top up or make salt water, you should switch to distill or deionized water.
Was staring at my bumblebee shrimp
Suddenly it made a few jerky motions and then released its babies into the water.. and my fishes were happy feasting on them
Hmm anyone has any idea what should i do with the little larvae which I manage to scoop out?
^^"
Hmm the corals were added before the cycling is finished? ^^"
Abit risky IMHO even if you started with cure LR, sand and water. Some of them probably can tolerate abit of "abuse" but that does not mean we should feel free to do it
Chemi-pure.. i think RD should have.. Cheato...probably can see any kind hearted bros here can spare you some. Nano-lights...You might want to read up about more on light requirements and what is best for your photosynthetic corals to know specifically what you need
Happy reefing!
Thanks for all the advices.
was rather perculiar to me initially because I thought filter media are all suppose to come dry.
And the bottle did not say it is supposed to be wet
anyway since I got it I will just give it a try and see how it goes ^^'
