Can a trigger fish co exist with a maroon clown fish?

My tank is also infested with these reddish and greenish algae! Now the entire tank looks like a forest! So ugly! Will using a protein skimmer help reduce these algae growth? My arms are real tired from all the scrubbing!

Yes I agree. Without a skimmer you will encounter problems like excess algae growth due to excess nutrients in the water.

Is it normal that some water collects in the cup? Thought it's suppose to be dry with black or green foam only

Hi all, I am interested to know which protein skimmer is better? The weipro 2011 or the sander maxi skimmer which is made in Germany? The guy from SL says that the sander is good. I still can't decide as I am intending to upgrade my thank to a 2 by 2 by 2 soon. Any suggestions?
