Just to share that I have been able to keep BBS alive to adulthood until they have eggs by feeding them with live phytoplankton and doing water changes once the water becomes a little cloudy. The live phyto actually helps to keep the water cleaner and is a food source for the adult brine shrimp.

GRO lights... isn't that pink and suited for plants only? MH comes in different categories and different wattages.... so it's hard to generalise as some are for general facade lighting and very different from those we use for reefing. IMO, FLs lack the punch to penetrate deep and only MHs are capable of doing that. FLs cover more length so does a MH bulb with good reflector. FLs are good for people who keeping softies and have shallow tanks.
