Left Foreground: Pink Pocilopora eydouxi that turned light brown, back to orange and now with tips turning back pink again! Middle Foreground: Bright purple encrusting Monti from PR, 051003. Left Background: Brown birdsnest frag has grown to more than 5 times its size and now turning pink! Middle back: new Staghorn acquisition from PR 051003. Middle: Turquoise Staghorn from PR, now darker. Just in front is a Tort frag with purple polyps. Middle Foreground: light brown acro table with purplish hue (at a corner) from LCK110, now entirely pink. Right Background: Brown Tort has become bluish green. Growth tips are brighter green.

Whole tank shot... *warning - large pix!* A little grainy with some colour imbalance & overexposure as left side is using Radium (white with tinge of blue) and right side is Ushio Blue (very blue). It's extremely hard to photograph with a digital cam with these lights! I believe this is my first whole tank shot from me in a very very long time!

Another shot... Bought a big table acro from PR, 051003. Turquoise green body/body, light purple tips. Also bought a slight smaller table acro with light pink body and light purple tips! Bought a big but slightly damaged orange Lobophyllia.

Hmmm... I got myself a nice purple encrusting montipora early this morning.

How certain are you that it is intestinal parasites? It's probably that your tang is still stressed from shipping and needs more time to settle down before it bloats up. Does it hide alot? If it is unstressed, swimming in the open and eating alot, then I will suspect cyanide poisoning... it affects the internal organs.

I saw some small lettuce nudibranchs at PR... $10 each I believe!

A skimmer will remove the stuff that produces nitrates, actually. By skimming out dissolved organics in the water before it has the chance to further decompose and produce the end product of the nitrogen cycle > ammonia > nitrites > nitrates.

Huh? Really...man... I smell trouble coming. I hope that LFS got their license from AVA before they carry marine LS, coz if they didn't, it's their own fault for trying. Actually, during the Nemo craze, a lot of LH LFS were fined for carrying marine fishes.

It's quite pointless to buy a fish to cycle the tank just to introduce ammonia into the cycle and then sell off the fish when you are done with it. Using a decomposing dead prawn or having uncured LR will do the same job with no suffering induced to livestock. We who are in this hobby longer know better... it's HELL trying to remove damsels from tanks. They are smart devils and an extreme pain trying to trap them. I think one of our senior reefers kept a baby blue devil (literally) damsel till it was about 5 or 6 inches big for years because he couldn't get it out. Finally, he speared it and got it out... he was a really happy man to finally get rid of it!

Sounds like a tank crash due to overload? Perhaps you should give us a rundown on your tank parameters before we can help you troubleshoot.

Dried seaweed? As in those by Seaweed Selects (Two Little Fishes company by Julian Sprung?)? Do a search... you'll find a few using it with good results.

I can lend you my BIG toyogo tub (see Product Review Forum) or you can go get one for yourself.. extremely useful for emergencies and water changes... 1 should be enough for your 3ft tank. It's probably bigger than your tank.. hahaha!! PM me if you want to make the arrangements.
