  1. Mmmmm.... one of my fav babes is in this month's FHM.... drooool!!!!!!
  2. Good progress... now carry on till you get your answer!
  3. I'll give you a hint: Peppermint shrimp is Lysmata wurdemanni. Rhynchocinetes durbanensis is the name for the Camel Shrimp also called hinge-beak Shrimp, Dancing Shrimp, or Candy Shrimp. Totally seperate species of shrimp. Physically similar but there is a distinct feature.. clue... camel back. Do some research using these names. And report back what you know.... that's an order! And I'll say this again: Listen 100% to LFS advice at your own risk.
  4. You can do that or just insert the whole superglue tube into the water and glue their entrance holes. Superglue (Cyanoacrylate) surprisingly is non-toxic in saltwater.
  5. Hi Seahorse, curious to know how you're keeping up with calcium demands?
  6. Can I edit it to further describe where it would go? Eg. Rectangular... top of front or rear windshield Round/square: license holder.
  7. They are harmless but their mucus webs are very irritating. I have some in my tank and they irritate my SPS corals when the webs wrap around them. You can superglue them in but they may bore out the other side of the rock/coral.
  8. Hmmm... suggest you call a vote for which size would be most prefered. It'll cost more if there are more shapes/sizes but fewer orders.
  9. Freshly hatched BBS is full of protein and should be fed immediately. After you keep them for a couple of days... you have to feed them with Selcon or live phytoplankton after they have developed their feeding apparatus before you feed the BBS to your anthias.
  10. Ashidiq Read News and Announcements. clue: *tick tock*
  11. Purple Queen Anthias do not last long as they are extremely fussy fish and require constant feeding. Most experts agree its impossible to keep long term. They usually starve to death in a few weeks. You can try but you have to dedicate a tank with pristine water condition even after feeding lots of live food continuously. Best food to feed is live BBS but they need to be enriched before feeding or the PQ anthia will lose weight even if its eating and then.... Don't recommend newbies to try purple queens. Keeping PQ anthias alive fo a few weeks or a month and half is NOT success.
  12. That's sad to hear. I guess there are things in life more important than our hobbies and it takes a brave man to walk away. I wish you the very best for your future.... we wish you well and hope you'll be back again someday... coz... the Reef Bug will back come and GET YOU!!!
  13. Wow! Nice of you to do such a service for your fellow hobbyist! *two thumbs up*
  14. Giving up? You're quitting the hobby, CKS???
  15. Why do you want free livestock?
  16. That's a sea cucumber and I believe it's a filter feeder. It'll position itself high up on rocks or the glass wall and extend its tentacles to catch passing food particles. Watch that it doesn't decide to climb up near a powerhead and become minced meat. It may release toxins enough to harm your livestock if you have a small tank.
  17. You have to take care of coralline algae as you would hard corals. Maintain good water quality... coupled with stable alk and calcium levels... good water circulation... they'll grow back. AT
  18. Just keep an eye on the LR and catch out any pests. Once you cycle your tank with the LR in there... what's there to cure again? You just need to give your sandbed time for bacteria colonisation before you introduce livestock.
  19. Those are mucus nets used to capture plankton and stuff. There are creatures burrowed inside LR and some corals... which do that. Do you see two spikes on top of their heads as they peek out of their holes? It looks like a tubeworm entrance. These are actually vermetid snails, a gastropod and not a worm.
  20. I think the definition of algae rock is that it usually comes with a lot of macroalgae on it... usually bryopsis or some kind of fern caulerpa. They are imported in as algae rock but the algae is usually removed... and the rock is sold as LR. The collection of Liverock from the ocean is controlled by CITIES but algae rock is not. Go figure.
  21. These corals don't uptake much calcium. Don't use Kalkwasser until you know what's it for. Have you researched enough before starting this hobby? AT
