  3. Gone forever? Not quite! Read this moving out notice by Bio-Ocean Aquarix!
  4. A typical MH bulb that is not overdriven can last about a year before the spectrum shifts and intensity drops. Light acclimatization can be done by cutting down the photoperiod by half and slowly bringing it back up an hour every day over a week or more. Or you can shield the bulb with a few thin layers of guaze/linen or maybe your car windscreen foldable shade. You certainly don't want to bleach your SPS!!
  5. Indian Ocean? Man.... now it'll be rare....
  6. I love wrasses too!! Check out Reef Quiz #12!! That's a beauty too!
  7. I strongly suggest that unless you are prepared to undertake the financial & husbandry commitment and the knowledge required to raise SPS corals, DON'T. You don't even have a calcium and alkalinity test kit and I bet you don't even add calcium/alk additives to your tank! SPS corals DEMAND very good water parameters... We can guide you along the way.... but if you really want to raise SPS corals, be prepared for a BIGGER commitment vs other types of corals.
  8. And the answer is: Pseudojuloides cerasinus I love this wrasse.... colourful... reefsafe!
  9. Milis are tough sps... give them strong light + good water flow (esp when bigger) and they will be fine. I do find Fiji sps a little harder to maintain in terms of colour and health... as most reefers here... indo milis are equally nice and hardier. Perhaps its shipping stress... that is causing STN/RTN?
  10. Oh no!! Even the famous 'flying hamburger' cylon motherships are changed!!!
  11. Sigh... your generation will not understand 'old school'.
  12. Yes, he did say its a blessing in disguise. I could have been on that boat in fact. I love diving on his boats... great company, good food, wonderful diving!

NNooooooOOOOOooooooOO!!!!! oooohh... unless they have a killer looking Viper starfighter!!!! It's still one of the meanest looking fighters around.. better than the SW X-Wing!!! TURBO ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! 15. What???? Is there a video on the internet on this???!!
  16. Wooooohooooooooo!!! Starbucks before he became coffee!!!
  17. Your liverock will end up being deadrocks if you place them in freshwater.
  18. PH will always go up and down with the lighting cycle. A consistent PH is not really possible to achieve, unless you have something that doses a PH buffer at night. As long as your PH swing is within 7.9 to 8.5 daily... it's not stressful to your tank inhabitants.
  19. I'm officially eating bread for the rest of the month! Just bought 21 pcs from AA.... AARRRGGGHHH!!!!
  20. Hmmm... I may be interested in some liverocks... but definitely not 100kgs of it!
  21. Awwwwww.... it's not going to be the same without you around in SRC!!!
  22. I recommend a seahare... one is doing a great job in my tank eating away algae. Henry from Marinelife is the one who recommended it to me and it WORKS!!!!
