  1. Another good article here.
  2. An article to read about iodine in reef tanks
  3. Shoelevy... ML is not famous for being tidy, big and spacious. Nor the fact that their tanks are always cramped with livestock like some shops are famous for. Your point 3 is the most important point and that kind of overshadows point 1 and 2. Also point 2 can be disputed because the good stuff always gets snapped up quickly when they come in. He's a little pricey at times but you justify it by the care, effort and QC that he puts into his livestock. Not speaking up because he's a sponsor here but because I have been his customer for some time already and has never felt point 1 and 2 are that important to me.
  4. I just heard that a lot of people are scrapping their cars of a few years to get back their COE value?? Because COE is so low now that they can get a new car for the same price? Eg. $40k to get back $20k and this $20k to get a new COE? Is this a sort of loophole or just smart thinking? My kind of car...
  5. Just spoke to the wifey.... she seems dead set on an integra... and the fact that I have to drive her around.... LOL!
  6. That's what I call maturity and decency. Two thumbs up to Navyblue for the way he approached this matter. It's good to be open to information offered by others even if it affects the sale price he was asking for. He wasn't rude or defensive but offered his viewpoint without any hint of negativity. Many of us should take a leaf from his example! Anyway, its also his perogative to set his own price even if others have pointed out that its not entirely the reasonable market rate. Then its also the case of caveat emptor. Upz for your sale, dude! Hope you can sell it off soon!
  7. Blurguy... check the LFS info thread here ... details of most LFS are there.
  8. Seems like a lot of sudden publicity by 'new to SRC' supporters for Gold Coast around...
  9. Is it in a very bright area? Try putting it in a lower lit area.
  10. Reminder to all. Please... dun try to sneakily hint... I dun want to give yellow cards... I have been tolerating and just deleting such posts.
  11. I am sure you can pack ur livestock up and have the LFS hold it for you temporarily until your tank cycles properly. In the meantime, do read up the basics and use the forum's search feature to go through many good info that has been posted up before in SRC! Welcome to the club!
  12. There are in fact two designs and 3 colours! Info here! You guys have to indicate again what colours/designs/size u want next to your names again!
  13. Dunno... but AT sure is doing a piss-poor job keeping this forum easy to read!
  14. Funny, I thought only ATs say that!
  15. Hi, please read this about being more descriptive in your topic titles and pm me to change the title for you. Thanks! AT
  16. I think dipping your clams would be stressful to them.
  17. Frankly... I don't commercial breeders as being extremely lightyears ahead from home breeders in terms of how they take care of dogs they breed. Look at the number of horrifying finds in some so-called farms where dogs are found in horrendous conditions.... not saying that all the farms are like that but the basic thing is... most of these dogs are confined into very small spaces... some even in cages... most of the time. On the other hand, a home breeder will take very good care of his charges with both space, comfort levels and human interaction. I may be wrong though. *shrug*
  18. Actually, for SPS, this mantra has never changed. As long as your water quality is good.... lighting is the next component to consider for quicker growth and better colours.
  19. Actually, I do get the use of the family car, a Toyota picnic, now and then... its great to use the car without worrying about loan payments, insurance etc etc... I'm just curious if the $50 cab fare I spent going from TPY to LCK is worth the petrol money as compared to driving there in my Picnic! ???
  20. Decisions decisions.... anyway, its just a thought... still trying to get more opinions on whether a car in Singapore is a BIIIIIGG burden... too used to comfort... i mean Comfort cabs!! Hop in and order the driver to drive u to your destination! Sigh... decisions decisions!!
  21. Heck.... I'll ignore my wife and just get myself a Murcielago!
  22. I much prefer the Accord Euro-R over the WRX... the RX-8 over the Integra... Mazda 6 over the 3.... sigh.... maybe the question is... if I spend $900 a month on my transport alone, would it be practical to pay a little bit more for the extra freedom of having your own wheels? Not to mention the life changing habits when you get a car... chauffeur duties - drive wife around... arrrgh!! Upside - cheong LFS at anytime! Another downside - cant drink until mahboh if driving!
  23. Actually Mrs AT kinda likes the Rav-4.... hehehe...
