  1. "It's getting too crowded in here.... I'm outta here!" - yellow wrasse
  2. Recently I dived in Bali with BIDP... great guys, great weather... but my only gripe was... THE WATER WAS TOO BLOODY COLD!!! 22C!!!! I thought with a inner rashguard and a hood, I would be fine... I was never so wrong... after every dive, up on the boat under the blazing sun, I was still shivering! Brrrrr!! The only dive spot I enjoyed was near the Liberty Wreck, where the water was a lot more reasonable at 25C! Here's a shot from a night dive... Liberty Wreck - Nudibranch!
  3. Well, if there is demand, we would have to install a 3rd party hack if there is there even one such available and test it for bugs, security loopholes etc first. In the meantime, just use what's available... remember... its for hobbyists only and not for commercial selling.
  4. Superglue won't hold PVC. Only PVC glue can do the job... let it dry after a couple of minutes and you have a permanent joint.
  5. Because all the major telcos here are hosting high-speed broadband videoconferencing for the World Bank/IMF delegates and world media?
  6. You have to keep your future photo atttachments to within 600 pixel width or it'll make viewing a pain. Thanks!
  7. Definitely! I notice that you're new to the forum. Have you been keeping a marine tank for long? It is advisable to start with easier to keep corals first like LPS or softies before venturing into SPS without the knowledge or the financing. My 2 cents, AT
  8. I can see the body in the photo... which is a round disk... and many arms coming out of it... definitely a brittlestar. Don't worry, Brian38, not poisonous.
  9. Most sea slugs are not suited for captivity as their diet is largely unknown although a few are known to be herbivores... yours does not look like that kind. Suggest you remove it before it goes after your corals.
  10. It's a brittlestar, similar to a starfish. Mostly harmless to big fish.
  11. Most Xenias will pump when they are happy with the environment. Reefers will see Xenias stop pumping at times when conditions deteriorate and start pumping again when they want to. Xenias can sometimes be unhealthy and you never see they pump.
  12. They are susceptible to a lot of diseases. You have to check if they are quarantined well before selecting a healthy specimen. When you do... they can last a long time.
  13. Reserve my comments, but It'll take time to find the right people who have both time and passion and the right motives.
  14. I remember in Sipadan seeing a whole bunch of red dots on a coral before! If you don't see any legs on it, I'll bet its some kind of parasitic flatworms.
  15. Not can't be bothered... too busy. Anywhere... other reefers have confirmed its closed already. read this.
  16. The best advice any reefer can give you is self-education... you really really need to read up as much you can because you will quickly learn what you did wrong. Its too expensive to keep doing the wrong thing so do read up as much as you can. The pinned links at the top of this forum (New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby ) has good info for newcomers to the hobby. Happy reading... and good luck! oH... and welcome to SRC!
  17. sorry folks, she's a Korean superstar... not my wife... hehehe....
