  1. More than you know! I'm amazed at myself sometimes.... hahaha! Well... slow and steady wins the race!
  2. Maybe you weren't aware but it happened from as long as a year + back when SRC had a lot of trouble with flamers which suddenly appeared with intensity. Suspiciously, these shady characters seemed to have an indepth knowledge of the history of SRC, our advertisers and some members to know how to precisely rile up our emotions with false accusations, insinuations and digs. We suspected that these people were disgruntled ex-SRC reefers who were suspended/banned for previous disruptive behaviour or personal grudges against my management team/me. These flamers had an agenda which wanted to disrupt and discredit our standing and to build up awareness of their newly set up and supposedly 'much better environment' home. Their obvious dislike for SRC forced me to defend myself over there but I found that by doing so, found myself falling into their trap. Anyway... to cut the long story short... it was pointless and today for some strange reason, I am not able to post anymore there. So in spite of my busy work commitments, the mods and I started an investigation to track posts, dig through our years of database records, cross-ref IP addresses and PM logs... and reached a conclusion: something funny was indeed going on. We were unaware of these PMs being sent out to hundreds of our new members until our investigations revealed such foul play. Subsequently, these warnings were then posted: http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...=52492&hl=legal http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...&hl=legal&st=30 There was a SMS made to me, the flamings immediately stopped and status quo now. That's all I can say now without revealing future activities. The above are all historical facts and open for all to see. Anyway, we do have records of all such PMs sent to whom, when and by whom... if you're one of these, you are all potential witnesses and may be called upon. The ugly truth has come out and sadly you all have to hear about it.
  3. Three words: Unethical, underhanded, dirty. Three words: Two-faced management Three words: Evidence at hand Three words: Legal case pending Three words: public shaming pending
  4. 8-10 June on MV White Manta Pulau Aur / jack rock S$520 per diver
  5. Depends on the type of hermit crabs that you get. There are some that are known herbivores and will feed only on algae but crabs being crabs... if their claws are big enough to catch any meaty prey they will eat them too. They are scavengers too by nature... so in a way they help to clean up dead carcasses.
  6. Sawadee Krup! Sabai de rue? Welcome to SRC and thanks for showing us your tank!
  7. Thanks for sharing, arg! Nicely taken! Good to have you post pix so that those who didn't go can appreciate! Do you have pix of the SRC branding at Aquarama 07 at several booths there or are these photos during the trade days only?
  8. Megatron, you got mentioned you from SRC or not? Got promotion prices you know!
  9. Going onboard White Manta from Fri to Sun (8 - 10 June)! Going to Aur and Jack Rock! Anyone thinking of diving that weekend?
  10. I see that you're an angler! I am a Team Daiwa fan too... I still have a Team Daiwa baitcasting graphite spinnerbait rod that has landed many big fish including a big trevally many many years ago... some pix here! Now I appreciate fish under the sea!
  11. put a betta box near the sandbed with sand and food. Drop the trap door once its in. TADA!!!!
  12. Please don't buy fishes that you don't know what they feed on... it is a needless death and not responsible reefing. I suggest that the next mandarin you buy be first kept in a betta box and introduced to cyclopeeze or artic-pods because these are close to the natural food type they survive on. They DO NOT eat pellets. Do a little research first next time, yeah?
  13. Ms Lionfish25... slow and steady does it! I also see you're getting a lot of help now from helpful reefers, yeah? Wishing you a happy reefing experience and looking forward to progress reports and pictures from you soon! Cheers AT
  14. Saw his tank.... beautiful specimens... esp his wrasses!!!!!!!!
  15. Definitely!! Reefkeeping is a complex mix of biology, chemistry, physics, mechanical and electrical subjects! Calcium, PH, alkalinity and other chemicals all are interlinked and a drastic cause and effect can happen if you do not understand their relationship! Additives have instructions on their bottles.... follow that as a guide. I also suggest you read up on water parameters by doing a search on the pinned up links in the New to the Hobby forum or google stuff. There are so many articles out there... KNOWLEDGE IS KEY!
  16. I've spoken sternly to these individual about his practice already. Have yet to meet him but he sounds reasonable on the phone. It seems there are also some speculation on his modus operandi and I'll get to the bottom of it... nothing like finding out for yourself! There's always two sides to the coin so let's not go on a witchhunt. I've been a victim of too many myself!
  17. Really? I heard the law's getting tougher on cheats... even in small claims they are looking after the victims better. I'm actually also deciding to pursue a long delayed legal case or a public shaming with some evidence and let everyone decide for themselves. Too many sneaky and cheating people nowadays... too hungry for a little $$ or power?? I have been victimized myself... am i too nice to be so easily eaten? I guess everyone's gonna be a bit smarter now.
  18. Ahhh.... I'm afraid not! But good guesses.... answer will be revealed soon!
