When dosing, please make sure that the water current is strong enough to disperse quickly whatever you put in. Certain additives are concentrated and could shock an organism if ingested in large quantities. Some additives are caustic and will even burn organisms eg. kalkwasser.... And yes, clams are very sensitive to changes... so be careful around them.
