I think we should all try to improve our english language skills by making an effort to spell our words correctly. It is funny at first but can get quite annoying to read certain words that have been misspelled/pronounced wrongly again and again when discussing this hobby.
Let's make an effort!
I'll start off:
Wrong : Slump
Meaning of a slump: To fall or sink heavily; collapse: She slumped, exhausted, onto the sofa.
To droop, as in sitting or standing; slouch.
To decline suddenly; fall off: Business slumped after the holidays.
Correct : Sump
Meaning of a sump: a well or other hole in which water has collected. In our reefing context: a secondary tank in which water from the main tank overflows into. A place where chemical, mechanical and some biological filtration takes place. Place to put skimmers, GAC, phosphate removers, to drip effluent from calcium reactors, drip kalkwasser etc.
