  1. Check on this thread on jellyfish discussion, a year back!
  2. Did you do anything to your tank prior to this 'appearances'. Do they sink or float? Did your sister come home from a party and left 'fairy dust' in the room?
  3. Tanzy bought his 4x Tunze Turbelle Stream with multicontroller kit for around S$2,251. Check out his Product Review on the Streams here! Bear in mind, the review was done in November last year... I think the prices have come down a bit.
  4. We are offtopic.. but the Borg is part of the Star Trek universe... I think your version of BORG is probably some clan name in Archmage... sounds like a wimpy wand-waving fairy game... haha... sorry...
  5. Ms Flubberina! :wow: Nope, you are wrong, Gatecrasher is an adult. Heh! He's still a newbie but I think he is still trying to learn as much as possible... by asking a lot of questions. Actually, he has to read up as much as he can before asking questions. Or use the Net more often as the answers are all there.
  6. Erhmm... its hard to teach. It all depends on one's back strength, skin wrinkling resistance, bristleworms' spike resistance, time and most importantly... CREATIVITY!!! I can spend hours shifting corals and rocks around until I achieve the look I want! Sometimes, certain corals will do better under different light levels or increased or decreased water circulation... so you have to play around a bit. Experience and knowledge in the needs of your reef inhabitants is essential to site them properly for their health. The fun of keeping a reef tank is the evolving look... before you come to the stage where nothing can be moved anymore. Then it's time to sit back and let your corals grow! Good luck!
  7. You can assimilate me anytime if you look like Seven-of-Nine!
  8. I think there is one or two more FW forums with marine sections in there. I can't remember... can anyone help here?
  9. Hope she knows whether its dead or alive... sometimes is hard to see as even dead specimens still retain colour. She needs to see if there are tiny almost invisible hair-like polyps.
  10. Size is fine... 700 pixel width max.. you exceed 4 pixels... haha! But it's ok!
  11. Sun corals are non-photosynthetic so it does not matter if they are under light or not. I have mine right out under strong lighting... To get them open... you have to introduce some form of stimulant eg. strong-smelling food into the water. My sun corals will open up once they detect my hands in the water (not joking), or when I feed GPs, cyclop-eze, brineshrimp, mysis etc. You have to target feed each individual polyps as they are in fact seperate organisms and not part of the 'Borg Collective', so to speak.
  12. I hope she doesn't have sensitive skin.... Some species of lace/Millepora corals can cause pain...
  13. Yes.... there are marine sections in other FW Aquarium websites in Singapore. Try: www.aquarealms.com www.arofanatics.com SRC is the only dedicated Marine Aquarium website/forum in Singapore.
  14. oops.... have not checked my pm list... its kinda flooded.. haha! Thanks bara!
  15. Actually, do you think you can scan and sharpen the image a little... it's a little blur... hard to see the small parts. Thanks!!
  16. I want to fix up the 3000_260 adapter for my stream. I think either barracuda or Joe_p put up a diagram.... can someone repost it again? Thanks!
  17. Cool!!! I like all that you mentioned too! You listened to the CD 'Fashion TV presents Pete Tong' yet? An excellent CD that I am listening over and over again is Nu De Lune... get the 2nd Album! Were you at the last Zoukout?
  18. That's cool, you'll have a nice puddle of water in front of your chiller exhaust. You have to vent out the hot air exhaust outta the window, dude!
