  1. Guys, I have created new threads on specific topics eg. logistics, material preparation, budgeting, staffing etc so we won't lose track of everything. Refer to the root category 'Our Participation in Aquarama 2003'. Please refer to these threads and post accordingly and appropriately! Thanks!!
  2. Created this thread for all action plans to make information searching easier.

  6. Well... if you wash them briefly with tap water, the osmotic shock will kill off a bit of beneficial bacteria and a few microlife on the LR. If you soak it in tap water... well... I would say you may have killed all life in/on the LR. I suggest putting it back in sea water/an established saltwater tank for bacteria to recolonize the LR. Overtime, the rock will become inhabited enough to function as a natural biological filter.
  7. Beats me! Coralline algae comprise 95% limestone and only 5% living plant tissue. It's like chewing thru durian husks just to get at the pulp!
  8. Pospeh... not entirely true! Sea Urchins LOVE coralline algae!
  9. What's the point you're trying to make? It's cool to keep dangerous creatures? Didn't you read about the recent home raids by AVA about banned creatures that shouldn't be kept as pets? And that's just star tortoises and skinks! Check this out!
  10. I guess you mean this light heartedly coz even if you were Arnold Schwarzeneger, you'll be dead within a matter of minutes if there is no immediate medical attention given to keep your heart and lungs functioning artifically. I wouldn't want my chest cavity being cut open just for a pair of hands massaging my heart!
  11. Yes, good idea! Quote for posters: A1 = 1 A2 = 2 A3 size = 3
  12. 4X2X2X2 ? Where does the extra dimension fit in?
  13. I think the most down-sized fast food meal is at KFC! I think they serve up spring chicken. Gone were the days when a 2 pc piece would fill up your stomach. Now, a 3 pc meal and you're barely satisfied.
  14. Anyway.... I started a new thread on my tank here.
  15. There will be a photo gallery of sorts for members' tanks and their inhabitants.
  16. Hey Tango... sad to see you go. Hey it rhymes! That means you can't go!!!!!
  17. I think rotifers are a little too small for Mandarins. Anyway... Fishfreak... for a tank that has been established since Nov 01 till now with no livestock... your mandarins should be in high heaven!
  18. Nah... maybe the next of both worlds. I may want to use the 10k just for viewing. 6500k's most excellent for growth but not exactly easy on the eye!
  19. Try a rubber gasket. Don't overtighten or the rubber gasket/o-ring may be bent out of shape and leaks will occur once the seal is not complete.
