  1. Oh really! how much are they selling it for?

They are on hourly shifts so hopefully, with more people helping out.. the load will be much much lesser on individuals. However, Exhibitors like myself, Phang and Morgan will working the whole 2 Trade-only days as well as coming early/staying later for the setup/teardown/opening/closing shifts as the public cannot stay and help. Hopefully, we can have SRC members who can help out for at least half-day shifts so we can take breaks from running the show. I will also be attending some trade only activities and preparing for the public seminar on Sunday. I hope it won't be a stressful time but let's do this together for the Club's sake. It's a good time to meet up with fellow hobbyists too!
  3. LOL... that's not sold in Singapore. To import in such a heavy equipment... errmm... not viable. I recommend Titanium/Reef Relief Chillers... many of us have good reviews on them... cheaper than Teco, well-built, good customer service... and best of all... the boss's a reefer like us!
  4. I wish they will do something about their operations. They have so much potential but their husbandry skills are so lacking. I try to visit the place from time to time again, hoping for a change so I can buy from them... but alas... somethings never do change. But we can still hope...
  5. In most people's experience, the first coral to get whacked are LPS corals, especially meaty ones like brains and 'pratas'.
  6. Powder form is more worth it than liquid form.
  7. T-shirts will also be sold at the booth but at slightly higher prices. Right now, we need to raise enough funds to pay for all the setup/logistics/t-shirt etc costs BEFORE the exhibition as I don't have any extra cash to prepay everything on my own.
  8. I will get the exact T-shirt measurements so as to remove the possibility of getting a size mismatch. You will get the chance to amend the sizes for your T-shirt orders later! AT
  9. You need to register for DBS iB Message only ONCE by providing your mobile phone or message pager number at any of DBS or POSB ATMs (select "PIN/IB MESSAGE"). When you're at the ATM.. just do this ONCE... and your future internet banking will be a lot safer!
  10. Yes... or you can alternatively write a cheque with my account number on it and pop it into a POSB cheque drop box.

  12. Also, I need to point out that since everyone is cutting, adding in their names and order and pasting back into a new post... there may be a time lag... where two or three replies may have been made before yours. Therefore, it is possible that your own name may not be in the list as others post after you (because they will follow the lastest list). Therefore, PLEASE CHECK THAT YOUR NAME/ORDERS ARE IN THE LATEST LIST.
  13. Hon, its very strange when you think about it. I suspect your UV glass shield is not doing its work. Maybe you can source from another place? First time, I heard of a good commercial unit like yours burning up corals... even SPS... if you can't solve this problem... you can't keep corals for a very long time..
  14. Not all hermits are not 100% reefsafe. Only a few species are alright and you have to get them as tiny as possible, IMO.
  15. No complimentary lots. Exhibitors can pay $200 bucks for season ticket the whole duration. It's a major expense.
  16. Who said reefing was a cheap hobby? Go keep goldfishes.... you just need anti-chlorine.
  17. It happened to me before... so I can understand. The telco won't be able to help unless you make a police report. The last time, I got annoyed enough to approach my ISD bro to help sniff the coward out but the chicken ran off. Shouldn't have warned him first. I wonder what would have happened if my ISD/mafia-related bro got to him... lol. Anyway, it's quite a hassle to monitor but it can be done. EVERYTHING can be traced in Singapore... as Rumour once pointed out... there is NO privacy law in Singapore. If you got the right connections....
  18. Where are your priorities man?? You want to your title to be restored??! What have we taught you all this supper times???! *cuffs spidey a hard one on the head*
  19. Yeah it was amended shortly after the thread got to the 2nd page... coz I put the price of the T-shirt in another thread. And I added in the bank account details later so that I don't waste too much time pm-ing every single individual. Now we all know.. Thanks for the highlight again.. bwilly!
  20. The work involved at Aquarama 03 during the weekends are as follows: Morning shift (opening hours) - open up shop. Tidy the place. Prepare for opening. Morning till evening - man the booth, give out flyers, talk to the public to promote the hobby and SRC, give out advice to other hobbyists (only established, experienced & senior reefers should do this, not newbies), keep the booth tidy, make sure the PCs are running etc). Closing shift - at closing time to tidy up the place, throw rubbish away, pack up the place. For final day (Sunday's closing shift) - assist in teardown. Basically the removal of everything back into transport. Return PCs and other equipment back to respective owners on Monday. There will be appointed personnel in charge of the cashbox and T-shirt stocks.
  21. With that amount of bioballs... I don't think you can call it a Nitrate Tower of Doom....
  22. Wow! It's amazing to see the changes before your eyes! Thanks for sharing... don't forget to show us the final transformation! AT
  23. In the wild, elegance corals are actually found lying on their side in the silt! No kidding! But I guess it can be placed wedged into LR. It appreciates gentle current, not too turbulent. Give it lots of space because not many corals can tolerate its very strong sting!
  24. I guess if we do cater for ladies tank top, it will be after aquarama. I'll be coming up with regular designs so we have more variety to wear besides the SRC T-shirt first batch and our Coralife T-shirts.... hahahaha!!
