  1. Roiden... if you have good info to share... do it outside your thread! Don't be selffish! Wah your thread is exploding... if SRC goes down ... you'll be banned for life! AT
  2. Rio?? Errr... you sure... they have a very very bad reputation amongst hobbyists worldwide!
  3. I can't remember if its deepblue or deepend... must be the same fella!
  4. Hi guys... I need a volunteer to help me put up a complete listing of LFS/LFF in this particular forum so that anyone who needs to find out more info on how to get there via public transport or by private vehicles/get their contact numbers and addresses etc can find it in an organised manner. Use to have some info on some LFS but its incomplete and I prefer to start all over again. The format of the detailed listings will be as follows: Example: Thread title: Info On XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Pte Ltd, Address, location map Inside the thread: Address : XXXX XXXX Rd Singapore XXXXX Telephone : XXXX XXXXX Opening hours: Location map: links to the local roadmaps...? Please give proper credit mention to avoid potential copyright issues. Website: if any Directions using public transport: Directions when driving there on your own: Of course, everyone's contribution to the completion of full information would be appreciated! But the volunteer has to put everything in place and edit out nonsense. Thanks! So... who's gonna volunteer? AT
  5. We used to have some popping in before but they may have gone back to www.flowerhorn.org's marine section. Interesting fellas! I missed the old DeepBlue... the one who own's the KL marine LFS.
  6. The Filtration can cope with the metabolic wastes of 4 sharks? They are predatory fish and they are also very sensitive to ammonia.
  7. Looks like a large enough tank for bamboo sharks... err... how large is it actually?
  8. Hi... Cardinal. First thing first.... Welcome to SRC! 2nd thing.... we have a rule... about one word titles/poorly described threads... we delete them. Please read this! To answer you... what soft coral are you talking about? How did it get caught in the filter.. and what filter is it? Can you describe your tank & parameters? Can you ID it? Depending on your water volume, it may not have enough toxicity to affect your livestock. You can use carbon to absorb such stuff.
  9. I think you better give more info about your friend's pond first.
  10. Well, I am feeding the Ocean Nutrition Formula Two flakes and my fishes love them!
  11. Wow! I DID made an impact somewhere! I thought I was speaking to a crowd of dead fish! LOL!! Well... I'm honoured!
  12. Excellent dude!! Anyone offended? Or we'll have to move this into the M18 forum!
  13. I say release them back into the sea. They are commonly found in our tropical seas anyway... don't cull them. Bad karma..
  14. Strange... could u resend? Ah never mind... I think you still don't get it. You have to be a BIT more descriptive... what are you trying to tell us? Think about spam emails... if you see the header as 'Money not enough'.... you'll probably don't bother opening it and just ignore and junk it right? But if the email header says.... 'Money not enough but I'll send you diamonds and gold bricks instead'.... I am VERY SURE you'll want to read more! So likewise... what your header could be is: "Strange salinity readings from different parts of my tank - help!" or "Is my hydrometer spoilt? I get strange readings!" Your suggestion of "Coralife Hydrometer reading" is NO BETTER than "salinity reading" We still have NO IDEA what you're trying to say!! Understand now, dude?
  15. Cool... I hope more newbie reefers will take the time, effort and trouble to let their fingers do the walking instead of the 'quick fix-it info-counter' mentality. A LOT of INFO is out there on the Net and not just in SRC. As a newbie, I learnt a lot from learning from the Net, visiting forums, reading articles written by hobbyists and buying good marine books. No one 'taught' me directly... I self-learnt mostly. No kidding. And I am sure most of the senior reefers/experienced ones here too. SRC was created to help hobbyists find a local support group but a lot more effort must be played on self-learning. Great job, Xfusion. Catch you around! AT
  16. Soft corals may release toxins into the water especially when they die. I suggest the use of GAC (granulated activated carbon) to absorb these chemicals.
  17. Let me get this right... you have a TRIGGER in a REEF TANK????
  18. Flamer! Not funny. Try anything to that which resembles your name and I'll personally suspend your account. At least Stash explained why he's asking for giveaways and how he's going to do it. Now anyone who chooses to believe him and give him any excess livestock has to trust him to take care of the new adopted pets. (Stash.. but on a seperate note, Alice and David (nice folks) may have taught you some things about marine but there's a LOT more to learn about MODERN marine/reef-keeping than what they have passed on to you. She'll probably kill me for saying this... hahaha... oh well... that's many ways to keep marine but there's always a Better Way.. if she calls me to scold me... I'm gonna look for you! ) AT
