Tuan, speaking Singlish is a fine art... learning it is not easy...
You have to learn how to eat durians, chee chong fun, laksa, rojak, drink kopi-o, teh tahrik, tiger beer, watch Phua Chu Kang and Channel 8 for about 5 years before you can catch the lingo...!!!! :lol:
Most of us can converse & write in proper Queen's english.... but we prefer our colloquial language, Singlish, universal to all Singaporeans... whether we be from the mainly chinese, eurasian, malay or indian ethnic groups!
Lah... is similar to Loh. Used to accentuate or emphasise a point or end a sentence.... like 'you're real good, man!' aka 'you're real good, lah!'.
