  1. Guys & gals, we ought to keep SRC discussions secular as possible but I'm only allowing this kind of invitation happening only once here in this Kopi Tiam thread. Sorry, but I have to be sensitive also to other people's expectations & religions. So far, we have to keep sensitive topics like religion out of public discussion as its a proven battleground but since this movie is about Christianity, I'm allowing such discussions to happen here. But any sign of trouble and I'll have to close the thread. Sorry everyone but I appreciate your utmost co-operation and understanding. There are other ways to spread the message of Hope. We just have to be more creative! AT
  2. You still have your angelfishes right? Hate to also tell you this but tunicates are part of their diet.
  3. Yeah, my question is do YOU know what they feed on. I know. I hope you do before buying one!
  4. This is a tunicate that has been with me for a year already... on the underside of my green scroll coral. Too bad I can't see it at all unless I flip my coral over.
  5. Oh yeah.. I agree... there was a visual representation of the Shroud of Turin. Anyone noticed that? Oh... I am surprised Monica Belluci played this role. Anyway... I did read that the filming of this movie affected the crew in many ways. 1. A few were touched and converted to Christianity. 2. The lead actor who played Jesus was struck by lightning but was unharmed but the cast around him were all thrown to the grown. 3. A miracle happened on the set where a half-blind crew member was healed. That's what I read somewhere!
  6. This movie is extremely touching for those who are in the faith. Those who lack understanding in the message of christianity will just wander why this man is so brutally treated. Since this was a biblical depiction, there should have been a message of salvation at the end of the movie. I mean at least a verse or two. The ending may pique a non-believer's interest to learn a bit more or it may not. Chances are... it may not. I don't really know. The brutal torture scenes were a tad too long and it numbed one towards the ending scenes. The scene that was a little odd & disturbing was when Satan was seen carrying another baby... the anti-christ? The pharisees I hated for their hypocrisy, the Romans reminded me of the Nazis, although there were a few who exhibited mercy & pity.
  7. Finally, we see your tank here! Nice! Reminds me of my 1st LPS tank!
  8. Seems like a very fast cycle. They could be enough bacteria present in that matured LR you bought off a reefer to process the ammonia and nitrite. But did you test for nitrite and nitrate during these 5 days... and what about the levels for nitrate now? Anyway, I suggest you go really slow with your stocking and test for any spikes and give time for the bacteria to catch up with the new bioload. Don't overload a new tank or you'll be asking for trouble. Good luck, dude! AT
  9. Sipadan!! Say hello to the turtles for me!! And the barracudas!!! You staying at the Sipadan Water Village? I left a pair of gloves there!
  10. Bah, they don't deserve any birthday greetings..... unless they throw a BIG PARTY for ALL OF US!!! Happy Birthday, dudes!!!
  11. Oh great. Now I have a crying upset member.... sayang sayang! Uncle AT buy you sweet okie?
  12. There should be different grades of refractometers. Not surprisingly, the accuracy may differ.
  13. Topic title changed from "Live Rock" to its current better described title. Thank you for your co-operation! And to answer you: The ones from Figi are usually the ones made from the remains of staghorn-type hard corals. These are usually branching in form so they are best used for upper rockscaping but can be surprisingly quite heavy & dense inspite of a lack of mass. The 'normal' ones from around the region are usually rounder in shape and can be both dense or porous. These can come as really huge pieces so they make excellent base rock.
  14. Arrgh! I forgot all about this decal thingy!! Paiseh!!!
  15. Just realised that I have been slack in my duties to maintain a forum where every thread has a properly titled description so that future searches by reefers will get faster & better results.
  16. I use magic sliders for my big calcium reactor!
  17. Bad idea. The screws on the rollers will be the weakest point. If that goes, your whole tank will crash down. Be safe... not sorry.
