IMO, all hobbyists should only get test kits that are accurate, if not, what is the point. Hmmm... if the accuracy is still quite close to the best rated brand of test kits, its a viable option for the less fussy hobbyist/budget-constrained ones. I see a good alternative to the very ex Salifert for the KH, PH & nitrate test kits. Too bad I don't have a sample to verify against my salifert calcium & dkh testkits and Pinpoint PH monitor.

I've been following the idea of draining water from a plenum sandbed system as a means of avoiding the potential pitfall of a DSB/Plenum sandbed becoming a nutrient sink... it does sound interesting and there is a logic to the method. However, it doesn't seem to produce noticeable results even with a tank with low bioloads & feeding and the experimenter is now using a denitrator and ferric oxide phosphate removers to reduce them to very low levels before this method can work effectively with a tank with higher bioloading. Any comments? It'll be good for debate. The full details can be found here. Going with Vincent & Sharon on their other boat. Wife wants to go to Seven Skies wreck in May. Aiyoh, have to save $$$. Had a great time at the Kuantan Wrecks with the MV Vincent boat. I heard the White Manta's a whole lot more spacious and luxurious? Had a BBQ party there before but it'll be the first time sailing on her! I really like the idea of sailing from SG instead of going all the way to Mersing. AT

I investigated and my server/datacentre is fine. It's QALA/SCV. Happens from time to time.

The beckett has four airtakes for a lot of air/water ratio mix, producing a very thick foam. The mazzei, I believe, has only one air hole.
