The small-minded will. The rest of us will still work, live and play with our malay bros, eating roti prata, drinking teh tarik, go fishing, watching soccer and scolding 'referee kayu!!' as usual! One of my best friends is malay and I truly enjoy his company. We even joke about hunting down Osama down and retiring as millionaires...haha!

We should speak clearly on this issue as it is a sensitive one where religion is involved. The facts are: 1. Most of the terror activities in the past decade are done by extremists. 2. Sadly, most of them have misused religion as the basis of their actions. For the majority, Islam has been the religion of these extremists. 3. Depending on locality, this religion is practised by a few distinct races. Sometimes, terror activities happens in countries where the victims are of the same race/religion. Singapore being a multi-racial country with clear religions practiced by certain races would naturally be keeping tabs on extremists from the religion in question (which would mean only an entire race would be under scrutiny). Realistically, to paint a whole entire race with the same brush would be stupid. There always a few rotten apples which spoil the whole barrel. There are christian extremists, Hindu extremists, buddhist extremists and anything that can be abused... will be abused. In the past, there is communism, nazism and other ideologies which were also subjected to a lot of public scrutiny and suspicion. Recently, a Muslim leader has issued a fatwa against Osama and his Al-Qaida (pardon any misspellings) for abusing Islam as a justification for their terror activities. It is a clear enough signal that it is not a race issue but an extremist issue who do not respect race, religion or precious lives in their quest to be heard, feared or to achieve fame or immortality. Take it easy... this inconvenience can fall on any other race, religion or association IF extremist groups from the same race, religion or association are causing such upsets in the general peace.

Are the results worth the effort?

1. Yes 2. Yes, depending on the condition of your tank. 3. Shops that bring in SPS may bring in monti caps. 4. Not critical. You should read up more about the requirements of SPS corals before venturing into it. They are much more demanding than LPS corals.

Yo... trying to bring back good memories? I can't remember where I got those fishes from... seldom see them coming in these days... or maybe I don't look out for these anymore... only in my fishball soup?

It's obvious that this couple is out to fleece the max out of QH. If it did happen to my tank.... perhaps only I can claim such an amount! Perhaps twice the amount! Considering the amount of SPS corals in my tank! And claimed trauma for my dog who probably have to swim for his life!

*wink* I never switched to 14k (when it became such a trend)... coz I have tried and tested and proven that 6500k/10k is excellent when combined with 20k for SPS. You get awesome growth and colours...

Hmmm.... some of you guys getting a little overheated, nein? Take it easy with the personal comments especially. They are watching SRC since it was brought up a long time ago.

This reminds of SRC and the great Save Nemo campaign in 03. I think we will have to educate the public again at Aquarama 05.

We hobbyists who are in the know will know the truth. Some who stand by what they think is their truth will attempt to bring down what others disagree as their truth. I know the forces in question has tried to silence the truth from being brought to light. I strongly recommend making personal comments against the character of the person(s) in question. Comments about the method... by all means! In the past, one SRC member who was/is in the faculty was severely warned about speaking against him/them/their claims. Responsible reefkeeping is what we preach and we should speak up against the fallacy of this method. I hope any newbies to this hobby will learn better tank setup methods here and certainly try not change water for a year just because one person said so against general knowledge. AT
