No worries Ben, there are many desktop tanks that are successful too... try looking up subzerolt's thread where he has a desktop tank by his window... just note that the smaller you go... the easier for the parameters of the ecosystem in the tank to swing... depends on what kind of commitment ($$,time,etc) you wish to devote...1 point

Browning of SPS is due to buildup in zooxanthellae in their tissue. Excess nutrients can cause this buildup or insufficient lighting can cause the SPS to develop more zooxanthellae from a nutrition standpoint. Its not dead. Dead is when the tissue sloughs off & exposes the white skeleton beneath.1 point
