Would like to add some websites for all who are clueless and would like to find out more. As newbies, we all have lots of questions, hope these readings help answer some of them Tank Glass or acrylic? How deep? What shape? Sump??? Filtration What filtration do I need? Water change? Protein skimmer? Algae scrubber? Water circulation Gas exchange? Surface agitation? Returns to tank? Substrate Bare bottom? Shallow sand bed? Deep sand bed? Plenums? Miracle mud? Temperature Temperature control? These are not exhaustive, but should give you plenty to read up on. There are many differing views out there, so impt not to treat this as your bible, but as useful knowledge.
