  1. I read that one way to 'prevent' the flame angel from eating coals is to keep them well fed. Having some seaweed on a clip can keep them grazing & occupied.

  2. Better qt your fa and teach it to eat pallet 1st. After that, throw in 1 cheapo zoas to test water see if it eat zoas anot. Angel and zoas really don't go well together. my fa never touch zoas for 3 weeks, than 1 fine day choose to clear my zoas.... few hundreds gone. Heart very pain.... 3. Shipping is horrible for this fish. 20-30% DOA usually and another 20-30% in the hands of aquarists. Numbers that make it in aquaria are probably less than 40% of imported numbers. Given how these fish are recently being indiscriminately exploited for the aquarium trade since their recent collection, there is no way collection in such numbers is ever sustainable. If this was a common species, it would not take so long for them to appear in the trade, this species probably has a very limited distribution in the wild. As responsible hobbyists perhaps it is good to reflect on how such unregulated collection will impact the species in the wild.
