Live rock can be reduce with the help of biohome or bio-material in the sump tank, they function the same as the liverock. I am the strong believer of minimal rock scape, it allow better water flow and better nutrient export through the help of skimmer. Best to avoid deep sand bed. The cons is more then the short period of pros that it provide.1 point
