Reducing phosphate in your tank would help. Phosphate is the main source of food for nuisance algae growth. U can do that by adding phosphate absorbing media such as rowaphos. Adding a few clean up crew, e.g. snails, seahare, urchin , would help in eating the excess algae.1 point
