U need to know the specs before getting it. Pump rate etc... I dont think he have a sump.. If he does, he would already asked for an internal skimmer instead of a HOB.. 1 footer don think need much of huge powered skimmer.. just get a dymax iq5 skimmer or BM NAC QQ for better skimmate.
