My Weipro skimmer is not foaming well

HI , weipro users ,.. I have been running my newly bought weipro skimmer 2012 for a week and the water level is recoomanded by the members here but today around 1 week there is still no foam in the collection cup i am using a weipro 3000 pump and the bubbles is shown in the pic i have attached . Can anyone pls advise why there is no foam but small bubbles instead.. TANKS A MILLIOn

Hi terry . U mean that the water level should be as show in the pic .The black ring i have drawn . If so how is the foam going upp sooo high up?? Can that be?? pls advice TERRY

and wad type of skimmate did u get ? kopi o or green tea?

Darker than green tea, brownish. Not quite Kopi-O.

From above pic, definately seems like the pump not strong enough. Stronger pump should produce more tiny bubbles. Should see cloud of tiny bubbles, will not be able to see thru like pic 3. I am using 2012 with SICCE Extrema. Can share what water level you all set?

presently I'm using eheim 1060 to drive my 2014 .. its a overkill but its foaming very well .. kopi O within 2 days.

I using 1200l/h powerhead and weipro 2012..water level i set at the black o ring there...and i get kopi o too.....

Check if the pump's outlet is properly secured to the inlet of the skimmer. If the hose connecting the devices is too loose, the skimmer may lose some pressure, thus resulting in insufficient input from the PH.

Thanks everyone for replying . My pump is weipro 3000 pumping my this weipro 2012. Is it enough?? If i adjust the pump until it is full ,i cannot control the skimmer valve because the water level will be quiet high .so pls advice.

It could be your pump is stucked with some dirt or debris. I have the same problem with my 2011 from time to time. I am using an sicce extrema in the sump. Sometimes, I will not get any bubbles at all. I have to take out the pump and rinse it a bit and clean the pipes and skimmer too. Then I will get the clouds of bubble. I am not having any problem with my 2014. I am using a ehiem 1260 for that in an external configuration.

BTW I set my water level to in between the recommended level and the O-ring. Got pretty good skimmate from that. Another thing you may want to check is your salinity. If your salinity is not high enough, you will not get the bubbles to build up.
