the only zoas surviving (beside the rics) after such horrific state of conditions. this incident really proves that zoas are really hardy let alone the rics, which are super hardy. didn't lose any of it! but please do not try this at home :P

Personally seen his tank before he throws away the rocks. I narrate the aptisia problem to the movie - Starship Troopers! Whole tank infested with hundreds of it

well, good to overhaul too the whole tank for a brand new start.:)

At least I can proudly say I was one of the fortunate few to see the tank in its former glory and I must say i was a sight to behold and to drool about.

You did it once , I'm pretty sure now with all the upgrades you'll do an even better job. Looking forward to your return.

bro, no lah. my tank is nowhere compare to other tanks here. just a simple tank to feed my hobby appetite. dun think much upgrade except for the main tank. must think carefully that whatever i buy now must able to suit my upgrade in future.

new sump tank design. its kinda small picture. hope you all can see it.

a bit of orientation.

1. red/purple color is where the refugium is.

2. return pump is beneath the refugium.

3. beside the return pump area is the skimmer area. in the skimmer area, a skimmer stand (with holes drilled through) is to raise the skimmer and also to allow my sump having a larger volume of water.

water from main tank shall be split into refugium and sump (first chamber for mechanical filtration). a check valve will install on the pvc pipe before the entry to refugium to control slow flow (just dunno how to draw!).

there will be no live rock in the sump. after mechanical filtration, all fish poo (hopefully) will be skimmed out !
