My final decision is to go for a Schuran Jetskim 150 Skimmer.

Will do a comparison between Schuran skimmer and Beckett skimmer shortly.

A couple of this will be sufficient for the flow.

50kg of sand and 60-80kg of live rocks.

[acidjazz]

All comments and suggestions for improvements are welcome.

Basically, i will add in the water and sand tonight and fix up the sump tomorrow.

This will be the last time i change a new tank. Its just too tedious and i am too old for it.

Actually its best to let this be a SPS tank since i already have an existing LPS tank, but looking at the rising PUB bills. . . not a good idea. Plus prices of corals keep increasing. .

I harldy see Aquatechinic tanks around. Any other reefers using it?

Just realise something. I overdose on the salt. i dumped in 3 packets of corallife salt for the tank. Now my salinity is 1.030+?

i didnt realise. . or i was too shagged to think about it. Now gotta draw out some water and top up with with fresh water.

Any time bro. i seriously thought i needed at least 3 packets of salt to fill the tank, in fact approx 2.5 is enuff.

Just added in the sand, water is super cloudy. visibility 20cm.

Did up the sump today.

Accident happened. The return pipe broke into two. i had to drain out all the water which are already mixed and do another rescpae of tank.

And that is after i employ the tank mekr to fix up the piping properly this time.

ah....really hate these while setting up tank...

maybe u can try using a scarper to remove the slicon...is that a black slicon? and did the pipe screw stuck inside? if not, purchase new pipes and slicon yourself!
