Hi to all seahorse lovers and hobby breeders.

Just some pixs to show the silent killer in the tanks that are harmful to seahorses and Nursery.

I think most people tend to underestimate its potent harm.

At magnification it look like the poppy flower with tentacles.

Its spores can be found in seawater or pass on from un-decap artemia cysts.Hope this info helps.

Heres the stinger. its interesting to note that each 'flower' can spread at the rate of 3-5cm per day if the conditions are suitable for their growth. Hope more study can be made to hydroids.
