Hi everyone, need some advise on feeding the above LPS.

Currently, i m feeding them with pcs of market prawns but the problems is my fishes like sohal, large storky anthias are eating them too....I really gone damn piss off by them

I do not wan another rescaping bec. of them....just did it sometimes ago to remove the blue surgeon tang and a brown tang bec. of tat.....at that time my sohal is still not really disturbing the corals....

Therefore, need some advise from the experience Bros/Sis whether can feed pratas, cynarinas, plates with liquidfy planktons using syringe injection? Will it be sufficient for the corals???appreciated :)

Ash, regards

I have kept my cynarinas for more than a year without feeding things like market prawn. I dun think we need to feed these at all. I used to spray cyclopeze and GP at the mouth of these corals...but I think dosing phtyo should do

Mine grabs pellets and devours them when I'm feeding my fishes..

I also target feed them ocasionally..

My cynarina has grown from slightly under 3 inch in diameter to a 6 inch diameter monster in the short span of slightly over a month!

By right corals dun need feeding at all, their zooxanthellae algae can provide enough nutrition for them. The zooxanthellae Algae provides the corals with Glucose which they can either oxidise during respiraton or convert to proteins and/or fats for growth.

However target feeding corals will provide them with a efficient source of nutrition and would aid in growth as these food are of high energy/nutritional value. Thats why corals have evolved feeding tentacles to feed on external lifeforms even though the zooxanthellae algae can sustain their life and even growth.

Thks pals for yr response, :thanks::bow:

target feeding planktons for my other smaller mouth LPS like Blasto,Fox and even yumas are doing very well...haven try for the bigger mouth ones like Prata, plates, cynarinas yet.... <_<

Maybe i will try the lights off method to c whether the fishes will disturb anot first...if they still do...then bo bian liao...just target feed with planktons and c hows the effect.... :)

Hope there are more other advise regarding this issue...
