SRC Member rockfish Posted June 25, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted June 25, 2004 hi all .. like to ask some question.. is sand shifer star reefsafe? and wat function does it do in a tank .. ?? clean sand bed .. ?
SRC Member jc85 Posted June 25, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted June 25, 2004 Bro, Sandsifter will eat up all the micro-organism in the sandbed. If you plan to have ur DSB functioning, suggest not keeping them. A seacuke will be a more appropriate choice to clean the sandbed. Navyblue
Yup it is reef safe. It won't eat cyano... Btw if you want one I am getting rid mine hehe... though cool to look at it sinking into the sand.

SRC Member jc85 Posted June 25, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted June 25, 2004 Bro, nothing I know will eat cyano. Best, u ask her to feed only 1/2 the normal amount of food for the next week or so. Check the PO4 value. I bet its over the top. Got to use PO4 remover then.
