Mellow
Thanks ivycap!!... Will update on the corals. So far all of them are frags from people except for the birdnest. Here's a mille frag from one of the farms. Quote "Save a reef, grow your own"
SRC Member dradttg Posted September 22, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted September 22, 2004 Are you going to cover 3 sides of the tank with Coralline Algae again?? Nice setup.
Mellow
Most prob not dradttg....takes up too much precious calcium and carbonates. Will try to keep dkh at 8 the most now... and i realised it's quite a pity not being able to view the tank from the side Quote "Save a reef, grow your own"
Mellow
just to share..a DIY surge device... Quote "Save a reef, grow your own"
SRC Member SharkBait Posted September 22, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted September 22, 2004 I don't think there will be a substantial surge because the stored water will just flow into the maintank. Maybe you can incorporate some device that will allow a substantial surge into the maintank. Perhaps a toilet flush?
DeepBlue
Yah, most prob 70% sps.... some teasers....my blue zoos love that saw it in person...
Mellow
hello sharkbait, surprisingly, the surge is pretty powerful...and i only need a small powerhead to channel water into the container.... i've tried it at my friend's swimming pool before...really impressive.... just leave the powerhead on and there will be a surge of water every couple of seconds...
