RANGE - Northern Philippines, Taiwan, Ryukyus, Southern Japan, and Izu Islands.

FOODS AND FEEDING - Varied diet including finely chopped fresh marine shrimp, frozen brine shrimp, and frozen preparations that contain spirulina algae. An occasional feeding of live brine, black worms or grozen mysis shrimp is relished. Feed 2 - 3 times a day.
REEF COMPATIBILITY - One of the better angels for the reef tank, but, keep an eye on your soft corals, xenia, anthelia. May pick at sponges and bryozoans
CAPTIVE CARE - Not overly aggressive, but, prone to harass small planktivores such as anthias, fairy wrasses, flasher wrasses, creole wrasse, tile fishes, chromis damselfishes, and fire gobies. only one male of this species per tank. low light is recommended as these fish are a deep water fish and will most likely acclimate better if the lighting is not too strong.
