nori or seaweed

where do you get your nori or seaweed? unable to find it fr NTUC, any advise?

go to the bigger NTUC.....usually they have a section for the japs stuff....

alternatively look for it in the market...usually the dry goods stalls...just ask for seaweed...the cheapo brand only cost 80 cent 1 big peice...

Im also having difficulties in finding the Nori and seaweed. I saw the Nori which was sold at NTUC added with spices. Thinking of feeding the Nori to my blue tang, but didnt buy it since Im not sure whether its safe to feed it to the fish with the spices added.

Purple seaweed, 紫菜 is very common in provision shops. Or u can go to Chinatown if u really can't find

Some of them are packaged in a big round shape. All my tangs are eating it.

go to Carrefour. look for the jap food section, and get the cheapest bag of seaweed. make sure that it has no sodium/sugar/etc. mine cost only $3 and I bought a few packets to last a while. (=

I'm using a PVC pipe abt 15cm long. Just use a tong to put it in and I don't get my hand wet. The advantage of this over a clip is that I can cut a larger piece of nori, say, 12cm by 6cm.

Ur BT may tk few days to recognise it as food. Meanwhile, put some inside the tank everyday to train it.

oh ok. I will leave it in my tank then. By the way,I saw my cleaner shrimp pulled the seaweed and hid it somewhere. Will it cause any pollution to the water if left for too long?
